In mid-April, over 60 Steeper team members across clinical services, management and production attended the second Excellence in Motion event, aimed to bring people together from across Eqwal to network and share their knowledge. Steeper and LPC Team Members for BAPO Awards

Steeper Customer Services team member, Rhianna Peterkins, and London Prosthetics Centre Business Manager, Belinda Smart were each shortlisted for an award at this year’s annual BAPO P&O Awards.
Rhianna has been a valued member of the Orthotics Customer Services team for over four years and was nominated for the patient-centric work she does every day from Steeper HQ. Managing communication between varying departments, Rhianna uses her calm and friendly manner to tackle challenges and support her team with a smile.
Belinda was nominated for her exceptional leadership. Her vision, dedication, and patient-first approach were the driving force behind the successful delivery of the London Prosthetics Centre’s new facility earlier this year. Belinda led every stage of the project with determination and care, ensuring the project stayed on schedule and met the highest standards for LPC clients.
Whilst they didn’t take home the awards this time, we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements and impacts they make across Steeper and LPC.

Raising Vital Funds for Bone Cancer Research Trust

Throughout the year, Steeper have continued to raise money for our Charity Partner, Bone Cancer Research Trust in a number of events, including our Makers Market where we encouraged team members to donate their crafted goods and sell amongst their colleagues. After another successful event, we raised over £400!
Behind the scenes, Silicone Technician, Helen Midgley, also raised money for the charity by taking part in a charity skydive! Through kind donations, she raised £820 which will go directly to BCRT. Down in Stanmore, the P&O team also hosted a bake sale and quiz night, where they also made a staggering £419 in donations!
