Throughout the event, 500+ attendees made up of Eqwal team members, partners and suppliers, shared their expertise via interactive workshops and educational plenary sessions, with speakers from the Steeper team and those around the globe. With participants from over 14 countries, Excellence in Motion provided an international platform, giving our team exceptional exposure to showcase some of their fantastic work and achievements.  From the use of 3D Scanning and Milling Technology for Spinal Bracing and Setting up a Prosthetic Workshop During a Humanitarian Mission, to Changing Pathways to P&O and Creating Training Materials and Communication Guides for Clinicians; our team covered a range of topics for the international audience.

These sessions not only provided valuable insights but also created spaces for dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of new ideas. The content was designed to push boundaries and challenge traditional thinking, aligning with Eqwal’s mission to advance excellence across disability care. Each presentation and discussion highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary perspectives and the critical role of innovation in patient-centred care.

One of the stand-out presentations included “My Experience as a Prosthetic User” presented by London Prosthetics Centre client and guest, Lord Craig Mackinlay of Richborough, who shared his story as an amputee using the TASKA Prosthetics CX hands. Lord Mackinlay, who lost all four limbs following a severe case of sepsis, spoke about the real-world challenges faced by amputees, especially those with multiple limb loss, navigating complex rehabilitation journeys. For many of our attendees, hearing directly from a service user was a powerful reminder of the significance of our work and the responsibility we carry in improving lives every day.

At the heart of the congress was the exhibition area, where Steeper showcased our flagship upper limb devices including the Espire Elbow and High-Definition Silicone. This exhibition space proved to be a thriving hub of activity, enabling cross-industry collaboration and product demonstrations. For many of our team members, it was an opportunity to strengthen relationships with international peers and gain insight into emerging global trends.
