The Rapid Response technology in the Plié 3 delivers a more natural transition from swing to stance. Resistance is based on swing flexion, not speed, resulting in an instinctive action that feels more natural and ultimately reduces the amount of effort and energy used by the amputee.
The Plié 3 is also fully submersible and provides protection from water, to a depth of 1m for up to 30 minutes, thus allowing users to get back into water activities that they may have been unable to do with other prosthetic legs.
This new decision has been a long time in the making, however, with the funding now available it gives new hope to those living with limb loss and ultimately will help to improve their quality of life with the help of the latest prosthetic technology.
