Here at Steeper we are committed to ensuring that all our engineers are trained in line with the latest industry regulations and specifications. As a result, the first four of our engineers have completed the Automatic Door Suppliers Association (ADSA) course, with our remaining engineers completing the course later this year.
With more stringent rules and regulations being implemented by the industry, this certification means we are in a strong position to be able to maintain and service all the door openers we supply, as our engineers are conversant with the current regulations and are qualified to service door openers.
Door openers have an average lifespan of 8 years, making annual checks and regular maintenance essential to guaranteeing safety.
What is the ADSA Course?
The ADSA course is well recognised in the industry, designed with both the engineer and the end user in mind and intended to promote safety and long term aftercare.
“ADSA has developed the BS EN 16005 examination to ensure that members’ employees understand and comply with it. The resulting Authorised Technician qualification is the only industry standard recognised across the construction industry, local authorities and automatic door users. Automatic doors are now a normal feature of all building types, large and small. They come in a variety of types, including sliding, swing, folding and revolving – what they all must do is conform to the highest standards of safety for the user. This is where the ADSA – Automatic Door Suppliers Association – plays a vital role.” ADSA – For more information, please visit http://www.adsa.org.uk/
