Supply Chain Planner / Data Analyst

We currently have a vacancy for a Self-motivated team player to join our company as a Supply Chain Planner/Data Analyst, working within our Head Office.

The successful candidate will provide forward plans for a designated range of products that supports sales and provides forward visibility to Manufacturing and the Supply Chain team in relation to capacity and parts requirements. You will also analyse and interpret data to support business needs..

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Manage Supplier against outstanding order books V forecasts to ensure OTIF. Having monthly meetings against agreed KPI’s ensuring that any identified risk are reported back to management.
  • Understand usage trends and adjust forecasts and PO’s accordingly with the input of sales
  • Engage with Sales Team to develop an agreed 12 month forecast on managed portfolio.
  • Support production by ensuring all materials are available when required whilst managing inventory levels.
  • Work cross functionally to ensure all departments are aware of any potential details that may impact our customers.
  • Work closely with R&D and Quality to resolve issues that may arise
  • Support the Data management team as required on supplier lead times, re-order points, safety stock and pricing.
  • Proactively analyse, report, and build graphs and Charts to plot Commodity and Currency Market fluctuations to assess potential impact to Business Profitability.
  • Generate daily status reports for managers, create and distribute WIP report on materials per department.
  • Develop Trent analysis of historical sales to support future forecasting and stock holding.
  • Profile of capacity impact of stock in stores and at clinics.
  • Development maintenance of a KPI dashboard.
  • Identify and assist with systems improvements

Personal Attributes:
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge and experience in in concepts of Supply Chain, S&OP, and Inventory Planning
  • Planning experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Use of a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system essential
  • Knowledge of SIA or similar Demand planning systems advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills to optimize inventory management, develop, measure, and improve key performance indicators with the ability to use this information to achieve specific strategic results that are relevant to the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task and time manage independently; ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment and prioritise tasks while working under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and strong mathematics skills essential
  • A team oriented and collaborative approach, with proven results building effective long-term relationships at all levels, internally and externally, and go the extra mile for customers.
  • Be able to communicate transparently – listen actively and speak respectfully.

  • A solid understanding of data sources, data organisation and storage
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of relevant relational databases
