About the Role
We currently have two vacancies for two motivated team players to join our company as experienced Plastics Technician’s, working within our Plastics manufacturing department in Leeds.
Your Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Plastics Technician, you will work with a highly experienced team of technicians and a strong multidisciplinary team to develop skills that will enable you to undertake the manufacture of plastics, AFO, DAFO, KAFO spinal braces and wrist braces. Using cutting, grinding and polishing tools you will be trained in all aspects of plastic manufacturing, from cast filling, rectification, moulding, trimming and through to finishing.
As a technician it is highly important for orders to be actioned effectively and efficiently to satisfy the requirements of our patients and clinicians.
To do this role you will need excellent attention to detail. You’ll also need to be focused and able to demonstrate that you can operate in a high-pressure volume related environment, ensuring that all work undertaken is ready for delivery within the relevant timescales. In addition, you’ll need to:
- Demonstrate good communication skills
- Ensure productivity levels are maintained
- Limit waste and keep the department clean
- Maintain KPIs and report performance, while ensuring all QA systems and working practices are strictly adhered to
- Escalate stock shortages for the area
Previous experience within Orthotics Plastic manufacturing is essential.
